You Have Voted For Your Winner!

The team at EduzineGlobal.com is thrilled with the incredible response to our Eduzine Global ACE Young Achiever 2015 Awards. Voting in huge numbers caused us a few technical issues in the first couple of days, but we are all hugely grateful for your votes and your interest. We can now announce that, following in the footsteps of our inaugural 2014 winner Adam Bojelian (aka 'Ads The  Poet') is:

Winner - Aidan Aird

Huge congratulations to Aidan on yet another tremendous achievement, from all at EduzineGlobal.com                                                                                                                                      Aidan Aird (pictured) like many young people, is passionate about science, technology, engineering and math (S.T.E.M.). However, Aidan took his passion to another level by setting up an organisation to help others learn about S.T.E.M. The Developing Innovations website & organization, established by Aidan, was designed to inspire, celebrate and promote young S.T.E.M. students. Aidan says " It's a place we can share our knowledge, inspire and encourage the new generation of students interested in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. In addition, we plan to provide meaningful information about post-secondary funding opportunities and scholarships available to S.T.E.M.students. Also, we plan to include a section on the website that will help graduating S.T.E.M. students find a job in their preferred field of study.

Aidan's tireless work, together with his compassion and commitment for helping others, has clearly had a massive impact, with our readers. Eduzine Global Media Director, Gareth Jones, said "Aidan's infectious enthusiasm for helping and promoting other young people, as well as his obvious talents in the field of STEM, has endeered him to his peers, resulting in this accolade."

First Runner-Up:  Joshua Williams

joshuawilliams

At the tender age of five, Joshua Williams became passionate about assisting the needy, after viewing 'Feed the Children'. He was in disbelief about the children who were suffering worldwide. His first solution to the problem was that his mother should adopt some of these unfortunate children and send money to help others. His mother was touched by his compassion and promised they would help in whatever way possible. Weeks after his initial interest in helping the needy, his grandmother gifted him some pocket money. Joshua’s true desire to help shined through when he chose to give the money to a hungry, homeless person on a local street. Though his mother advised him that she would prefer to give the able-bodied person food, Joshua insisted that it was his money and his decision to give the man his money. Following this experience, Joshua’s vision to aid the needy started to blossom. Gareth Jones said "Joshua is already a Disney Citizen Kid and CNN Young Hero, so it is no surprise whatsoever that he has been recognised by our readers, coming a close second to Aidan. His awesome charity work to support those in need, via his amazing Joshuas Heart Foundation is simply exceptional."

Second Runner Up:  David Tobiloba Adeyemi

David Tobiloba Adeyemi is a very bright scientist & STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mechanics) leader from Lagos, Nigeria, who doesn’t really know how his innovative thinking started, but he does remember the days when he was a lot younger and highly enthusiastic about how things worked. He was always repairing any broken or worn-out gadget he came across. His parents treated him in an extremely unique way, although things were very hard for his family at the beginning, his parents still did everything possible to give him the best of the best at that early stage of his life.

David had always been dreaming of being able to change the whole universe starting by changing the poor aptitude and interest of students towards Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. David knew to accomplish this dream he had to start from somewhere. Since the Junior Engineers Technicians and Scientist Club (JETS) was full, he decided to go forward to join the Literary and Debating Club, simply because the students there were extremely scarce (the best place to develop a change). Little by little he started contributing more vividly to the clubs development and in the twinkle of an eye his reputation in that school became unexplainable; in fact he was recognized as one of he best debaters and contributors in the school. Gareth Jones said "David is quite simply STEMsational. His STEM and literary abilities are incredible and he is without doubt deserving of the recognition placed on him via the voting public."

Congratulations To All The Finalists

All the finalists, as well as all the achievers featured at EduzineGlobal.com, are deserving of our congratulations. Unlike other awards the ACE Young Achiever 2015 selects a charity for us to promote and donate to during 2015, subject to legal restrictions. Therefore the award is a gift of giving! The winner, together with the first and second runner up will also receive a certificate.

Finally a huge 'thank you' once again to all those who voted. The response was incredible and demonstrates just how important it is to recognise and celebrate young achievers.
